Talk by Peter Hawthorn -The Dickin Medal
The first meeting of a new year was given by Peter Hawthorn. He found that there was no information on the Dickin medal given to animals for their extreme bravery in saving the lives in conflict.
He researched this and has written a book on the subject which took him 4 years .He highlighted 11 of the anmals of which there is only one cat.
A very interesting and thought provoking evening.
